The head can be washed by hand with sponge and detergent, rinse carefully, the handle cannot go under running water. If there is no residue I soak the cartridge in clean boiling water in the Chokkino jar and operate the milk frother.
The handle is gently wiped with a damp cloth, never put under running water because it contains the batteries and motor.
