How many times have we ended up with a lot of yolks because the recipe called only for egg whites? Thanks to egg white powder, the problem is solved! It whips to stiff peaks to perfection. The 500 g package is equivalent to 4 liters of fresh egg whites. Pasteurized.

instructions

Mix room temperature water and egg white powder (don't worry if it all sticks together, that's normal), wait 10 minutes and mix again. If there are still lumps wait a few more minutes and mix again. I put everything in the Chokkino jar and then mix with a small whisk, this way it comes out very well for me, without lumps

How do I recreate the amount of fresh egg white I have in the recipe?
You need to divide this number by 8 and then put 7 parts water and 1 part powdered egg white.
Example: I need 160 ml of egg whites
160 : 8 = 20
1 part = 20 grams of powdered egg whites
7 parts = 20×7 = 140 ml or 140 g water (100 ml water = 100 g water)

In a medium egg 1 egg white weighs about 35 grams
1 scoop + 30 ml water is approximately equivalent to one fresh egg white

frequently asked questions

Is it pasteurized?2026-06-23T15:23:59+02:00

Yes, the product is pasteurized

Can I use it in a protein shaker?2026-06-23T07:16:40+02:00

Yes, certainly. The egg white powder is pasteurized and can therefore be consumed without being cooked. The process reaches sufficient temperatures to also inactivate avidin.

Avidin in egg whites binds to biotin and prevents its absorption. If you occasionally consume raw egg whites, there's no problem, but if you consume them often, it risks leading to a biotin deficiency. Normal cooking of eggs (fully coagulated egg whites) is generally considered sufficient to eliminate the nutritional risk associated with avidin.

Can I consume it after the expiration date?2026-04-25T13:54:18+02:00

The date shown on NON-fresh products is not the expiration date, but the TMC.

TMC means Minimum Storage Term and is NOT an expiration date. The product is always perfectly edible after this date. When you read “best before...” on a product, it means it is not an expiration date but the TMC minimum shelf life.

PLEASE NOTE: Our products are very stable because they are in powdered form and contain mainly saturated fats, which are naturally very stable. We have tested many of them even more than one year past their TMC date, and they were still in perfect condition, including coconut milk, cocoa powder, erythritol, and arrowroot.

How to tell if a product is still good? Very simple!
Just take a look: are there any signs of mold, insects, or anything unusual?
Smell: smell?
If the answers to these two questions are no, the product is still good.

Think about this: the expiration date was invented 50 years ago. Humankind has existed for 2.5 million years. Your senses are perfectly capable of recognizing a product gone bad. Trust us!

10% of European food waste is caused by the misinterpretation of this date. Tell your friends about this important distinction between TMC and expiration date. Awareness will save the world.

Does the package contain the measuring cup?2026-04-25T14:34:44+02:00

No. As a matter of environmental sustainability all our bags do not contain a measuring cup. If they did contain it, customers who often buy our products would end up with a collection of measuring cups. This would make no sense, as the Earth is the only planet we have and we need to take care of it by living consciously. Instead, our boxes contain the measuring cup, as it is usually the first purchase a customer makes.

How do I get X grams of fresh egg white?2025-10-03T10:34:26+02:00

Let's take an example: in the recipe we need 160 grams of fresh egg white, divide 160 by 8 and put one part egg white and 7 parts water
160 : 8 = 20
20 grams of egg white
20 x 7 = 140 grams /ml water
Mix water and powdered egg whites with a whisk, wait 10 minutes and mix again

Can it be taken during pregnancy or breastfeeding?2026-06-18T17:31:15+02:00

Live Better products can also be taken during pregnancy, except for Pure Biltong and Kaminwurz, as they are cured.
Pure Jerky is cooked, not raw meat, so there's no problem.

Better Mayo is made with pasteurized egg yolk. The yolk is pasteurized, undergoing a controlled heat treatment at 64°C for 8 minutes and then refrigerated at +2°C. Under proper storage conditions and shelf-life, the product is generally suitable for consumption during pregnancy. Unless otherwise indicated by a medical professional and in accordance with the storage instructions on the label.

The only caution is Chokkino because it contains caffeine
A cup of Chokkino espresso contains only 11 mg of caffeine (an espresso coffee contains 80 mg)
EFSA's recommended daily limit of caffeine for pregnant women is 200 mg
Caffeine is naturally present in cocoa, and therefore also in chocolate. However, chocolate contains less caffeine than cocoa powder.
Cocoa powder contains less cocoa butter and therefore the caffeine is "concentrated"

All Live Better products can be taken while breastfeeding.

recipes

INGREDIENTS
3 albums (100 g) or 12.5 g of albumen powder
20 g jelly
25 g maple syrup
a pinch of salt
ghi to grease the baking pan

SUBSTITUTIONS
You can use honey instead of maple syrup, but I prefer maple syrup because it has a more neutral flavor (especially our Fancy Maple, which doesn't taste like caramel)
You can use the Better Sweet (5 g) or the’erythritol (25 g) instead of maple syrup, this way they will have fewer calories (116 kcal) and will also be ketogenic!

PROCEDURE
If you're using powdered egg whites, dissolve 12.5 g of egg whites in 87.5 g of water and let it sit for at least 10 minutes
In a non-stick saucepan, melt the gelatin in 60 ml of water; it will become hard, don't worry. Wait 10 minutes.
Beat the egg white until stiff peaks form
Place the small saucepan with the gelatin on the stove (over very low heat) and let it melt, then slowly pour it into the egg whites while continuing to beat them
Add the maple syrup in a thin stream and continue beating
Grease a baking sheet with butter
Pour in the mixture and smooth it out with a spatula
Let it sit in the fridge for at least 2 hours
Grease a knife with butter and cut into cubes
Sprinkle with arrowroot or other starch (optional)

You can also add blended fruit or freeze-dried fruit powder.
