The perfect proteins
Which whey to choose
Which version to choose depends on personal needs and sensitivities.
Lactose and casein sensitivity
bovine isolates less than 1% of lactose and 0.5% of casein
Cow's milk or casein sensitivity
Goat milk concentrates: less than 0.5% casein A2 and 5% lactose
Ketogenic diet
Beef isolates: lower carbohydrate content

What do they taste like
Cow's milk concentrate: cooked milk flavor (like Galatina, but without sugar)
Whey isolate: neutral flavor
Concentrated goat: light goat flavor

Alternatives to Whey
Whey proteins are one of the best protein sources available, but not everyone tolerates them. Those with lactose and casein issues can consider bovine isolate proteins. While those with casein or cow's milk issues can opt for goat concentrate proteins.
If a person really can't tolerate them, you can use the’albumen powder or opt for a plant-based protein.
Soy protein isolate has the amino acid profile most similar to whey. Unfortunately, however, soy is an allergen and contains phytoestrogens. Furthermore, it could be GMO and therefore grown with large quantities of glyphosate. If possible, purchase an organic product.
Alternatively, a cereal + legume mixture can be used, which however does not have the complete amino acid profile present in soy protein; pay particular attention to the leucine content.
BEEF PROTEIN
Unfortunately, the proteins sold on the market as “beef protein” are not a valid alternative to whey. To evaluate proteins, you need to look at their amino acid profile. Beef protein contains only 4 grams of leucine per 100 g of product, while whey isolate contains 9.9 g. Leucine is crucial for initiating muscle protein synthesis. The table compares beef protein with whey isolate because both contain at least 90 g of protein per 100 g of product.
The amino acid profile of beef proteins is almost identical to that of collagen, because they are extracted from beef bones containing meat residues. They are not extracted from beef, as some companies would have you believe. Bones (including human bones) are composed of 20–30% protein, of which 90–95% is collagen.
Beef protein isolates from any brand have this amino acid profile. You informed me that Elisir's have an amino acid profile similar to whey. I wrote to customer service and they replied, “They derive from hydrolyzed bovine collagen obtained mainly from connective tissue, bones, and cartilage.” So the amino acid profile reported on their site is incorrect. I've reported it, but it hasn't been corrected yet.
The people who consume these products think they are consuming a protein extracted from bovine meat, and therefore with a high biological value amino acid profile (DIASS), but unfortunately, this is not the case.

Good flavor (neutral) with added fruit or vegetables results in excellent smoothies in both taste and texture. Reducing the water also achieves a mousse-like consistency.
